Employee wellbeing and burnout are pressing issues for people teams and C-level executives in almost every company, and everyone has their own practices for supporting employees. Here are some general approaches:

- Invest in HR wellbeing first
- Rethink resourcing
- Set clear boundaries
- Invest in external expertise
- Foster a peer network

Some interesting insights for me:
⭐ HiBob has a great practice called “balance day” — at the end of each quarter, all employees get a long weekend. If you work Monday to Friday, you get Friday off. No meetings, no Slack messages, no notifications.

⭐It’s crucial to build trust with employees so they can honestly answer how they feel. Ask weekly what tasks drove them and what was challenging.

⭐ For smaller companies with limited budgets, consider internal practices like yoga, meditation, and vouchers for therapy sessions. It’s essential for C-level to understand the importance of investing in employee wellbeing to prevent burnout.
